Beno

June 8th, 2009 by jim

Our first family dog was named Beno. We got our beloved dog Beno because he was too relaxed, or maybe lazy is a better word. When we arrived on our yearly vacation to the Prospect Mountain Ranch, Beno’s owner Gus, we found out, had died the week before. Beno was a ranch dog but was lazy and in spite of being an Australian Shepard, which is usually a very energetic breed, only wanted to lie around or follow Gus. So Beno had no more use at the ranch and Larry, Gus’s son, asked us if we wanted Beno. So we adopted him and his laziness turned into our gift, and he lived to be almost 14.
